Ridiculous......Remarkable

-
If someone called your plan ridiculous, read this note from Seth Godin - and see if you can turn the tables, and make the naysayers turn back to you and call it remarkable!

Gutsy, Daring, Outlier, Maverick, 'Different', unique - all might have different connotations - but given this definition, probably, all of them have similar undertones.

Do you have something ridiculous in mind?
Remarkable - just go ahead and do it.

Last week , Chief Post Master General of Maharashtra Circle, K Noorjehan, released a special Lifebuoy Swasthya Chetna Postal Cover on the occasion of World Health Day . It was the first time that an Indian Brand had been featured on a postal cover, and the fact that the Indian government has recognized the efforts of HLL in health and hygiene in such a manner reinforces the strong Brand Association of Lifebuoy with Health! According to Business Line , the postal cover has been released to recognise Lifebuoy's pioneering rural health and hygiene education initiative, Lifebuoy Swasthya Chetna The ED of HLL, Nitin Paranjpe asserted that “ Lifebuoy is the one brand that wants to start that one movement that will change the world ”. A brand that has been discussed time and again, and has been talked about by more than 3 generations. A company that relies only on a single theme behind its advertisements, for 39 Years continuously ? A Theme that has one of the highest brand recalls ever? What has been the history behind this revolution? An epiphany or a market research? A creative big bang, or an innovative insight? Who are the drivers of this moppet? What is the Advertising Strategy of the agency? Let me seek some answers in this Ps than frame questions…. Reiterating the Amul ( Anand Milk Union Limited ) story would be a redundant effort, since it ...

Seconds. Minutes. Hours. Days. Months…. I have kept the count, the count of “inactiveness”, but that’s not all what I have done about it. The silence here has been duly compensated for, outside this forum. Change has been partnering with me for quite some time now. Change - of location, from the lazy Delhi to the hyperactive Mumbai, from the insecure bachelor to the responsible family man, from the cushy professional to the struggling entrepreneur and from the fantasizing planner to the realistic doer. Few more hours and I shall complete 3 decades on this planet. Not an easy thing to digest the fact, when the ten’s digit of your age changes. As I move forward, few things are nearing closure, and few things beginning to take shape. Last birthday as a bachelor, Last month as a ‘single’ status, Last time to feel am still in the twenties, Last 20 days to marriage, Last few days of abysmal revenues First company to be proud of, First setup I can call my own, First sale in 4 digits, ...
